HOW WE WORK
After booking a time to quote, we complete the following steps:
  1. We review our extensive database of bore logs to understand the likely bore depth and water quality in your area;
  2. We assess your licence requirements (if any). AustralindWBC can manage these requirements for you and will ensure all necessary reporting takes place at the completion of your project;
  3. We review online maps and Dial Before You Dig to look for any services, and your site;
  4. We discuss the ideal bore location and once agreed pothole to ensure there are no issues with the site;
  5. We discuss our findings with you and provide a written quote.

Unless specified otherwise, our quote will include:
  1. The proposed depth of your bore, based upon our research. We will adjust this based upon the site conditions encountered and only charge you for what we do;
  2. Australian made 100mm PN9 casing and slot for class one bores, moving up to PN12 for class two projects;
  3. Screened gravel pack graded to be between 1.2-3.2mm;
  4. Bore development by way of pumping or air as specified;
  5. Field tests including PH, TDS (salts), flow rates, strata and recommendations for pump set;
  6. A bore log which provides a record of your project and statutory reporting (if applicable).
requirement
Our Customers have varying requirements; we offer the following options:
  1. Licensing – we can administer the licensing process for you where needed;
  2. Bore head – exposed or sunk (in a neat, covered access box);
  3. Submersible pump – we carry a high-quality option and a premium option. Pumps will be specifically selected to your needs after knowing the bore parameters, power source and proposed application;
  4. Waste removal – a 20 metre bore will typically yield < 1m3 of material, this can be taken away if required;
  5. Installation – we plan for your bore pump to give 20 years of service with very little maintenance. Quality fixtures and fittings are an important part of achieving this service life;
  6. Water sampling – we can run detailed analysis to determine what treatment, if any, is necessary to prevent iron staining, bacteria etc.
  7. Water treatment – we carry a cost-effective range of treatments to deal with common problems such as iron staining;
  8. Bore covers – we carry a range of covers and can fabricate something custom if needed;
  9. Bore maintenance – sometimes a bore simply needs an acid treatment and air lifting to become viable again;
  10. Bore stain removal – we carry the reagents and equipment necessary to dramatically reduce iron staining.
  11. Metering – We can install approved meters where needed.
install
Bore installation:

On the day, we like to have the Customer present so that we can consult with you at the time of drilling. The process we undertake is as follows:

  1. We mobilise our rig and support vehicles taking all care of your property;
  2. We re-confirm the bore location;
  3. We set up and commence drilling taking core samples every metre until we find the best water available;
  4. We construct the bore to the standard required by the regulator;
  5. We purge the bore with a submersible pump to clear the well of drilling material and to optimise the flow rate;
  6. We check the salinity, PH and bore yield to ensure the water source is appropriate for use;
  7. The bore casing is backfilled and sealed ready for equipment installation;
  8. The site is cleared, and (unless agreed otherwise) any remaining drilling material is left neatly on a liner;
  9. We demobilise our equipment;
  10. We provide handover documentation to the Customer;
  11. A final invoice will be sent, amended based on the works completed;
  12. If a pump is required – we provide a quote now that we have the depth and flow rate available.
guarantee
We provide a 10-year warranty on our work.

All pumps, equipment and fittings are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty.

We logically cannot warrant the quality and quantity of water beneath your property. We will however give you our professional opinion as to what you may expect. We generally do not recommend water diviners on the Western side of Darling Scarp unless you are in geology where rock is expected. The best source of data is records from projects completed in your area.
